I work at the intersection of emerging hardware architecture and software — the space where the next generation of intelligent systems takes shape. As Chief Architect and Industry Expert at Huawei Technologies, I drive innovation in advanced computing, artificial intelligence, and semiconductors. My career spans over two decades at the frontier of enterprise and heterogeneous computing.

Before joining Huawei, I spent 12 years at IBM Germany Research and Development in senior leadership roles focused on advanced computing. During that time, I led initiatives in enterprise‑scale compute architecture — work that continues to influence how large organisations design and deploy high‑performance systems today.

My foundation was established at Albstadt‑Sigmaringen University, where I earned my Diploma in Communications and Software Engineering in 2003. My thesis explored methods for packaging binaries inside firmware for later execution via a small virtual machine (the full title was: "Concept, Design and Implementation of a Slimline Boot Firmware for Linux on Power Architecture"). I received recognition for earning the highest grades in the graduating class of 2004 — a distinction of summa cum laude — and was honoured by the Philipp‑Matthäus‑Hahn‑Stiftung, the foundation that recognises top graduates.

I believe the most durable technological progress is built through cross‑disciplinary collaboration, technical rigour, and organisational cultures that give teams the space to push boundaries. In practice, this means structuring teams around a shared architectural vision, open engineering principles, and a deliberate approach to building deep technical capability across generations.

My expertise spans semiconductor design, novel compute paradigms, and large‑scale AI training infrastructure. I am particularly drawn to the architectural challenges at the hardware–software boundary — where trade‑offs in silicon, memory hierarchies, and system interconnects directly determine what AI can and cannot do at scale.

Beyond my corporate role, I engage with the broader technology community through writing, speaking, and advisory work. I serve on advisory boards, contributing to strategic conversations on AI infrastructure, compute architecture, and the future of the semiconductor industry.

I focus on questions of technology resilience, the societal implications of AI acceleration, and how responsible innovation frameworks can keep pace with the speed of compute advancement. These are not abstract concerns. While at IBM, I deployed with the Corporate Service Corps as a Technical Consultant for Disaster and Humanitarian Relief in Manila, Philippines. I helped develop real‑time flood maps following Tropical Storm Ondoy (Ketsana) and Typhoon Pepeng (Parma) in late 2009, working closely with humanitarian groups, research organisations, and local leaders to enhance disaster warning and response systems. That experience reinforced my conviction that technology must serve human resilience, not merely commercial ambition — a principle that runs through my technical work and public contributions.
